UK courts still don't know where Craig Wright is

UK court filings submitted today reveal that Craig Wright has been referred to the country’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to face an investigation into whether he committed perjury during his court battle with The Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA). This is despite the court admitting that it still doesn’t know where he is. In today’s High Court-approved judgment, Mr Justice Mellor said evidence shows that Wright has left his Wimbledon residence and appears to have left the UK . Coinbase: 83% of G20 & Top Hubs Have Made Crypto Regulatory Progress

Image
Crypto company representatives have been calling out U.S. regulators for not being able to provide regulatory clarity for years now. Ripple executive Chris Larsen recently highlighted how San Francisco lost “the blockchain capital of the world” title owing to regulatory crackdowns and the stern policies of the government. Specifically pointing towards the countries that are the torchbearers at the moment, Coinbase’s post noted, “ Globally, countries are vying to become crypto hubs. Regulatory clarity has emerged in the EU, UAE, China (HK), Singapore, Australia, and Canada, to name a few. “ T...

This was mostly due to the Advertising Standards Authority [ASA], UK’s advertising regulator. Earlier this year, the ASA banned two “misleading” ads by Crypto.com . Looks like this notion persisted and this time it was related to NFTs. Earlier today, the ASA rolled out a ruling that pointed out how Crypto.com had launched an ad back in July 2022 that read, “ Crypto.com NFT is now available in the Crypto.com App. Mint, collect and trade NFTs and manage your crypto all in one place. Launch Crypto.comNFT from the App home screen and make a purchase via drops on the Marketplace. Sign up to Crypto.com/NFT now! Access Crypto.com NFT at your fingertips” . It should be noted that this ad came with a video as well. The video reportedly shed light on how to purchase NFTs on the exchange. The ASA accused the platform of not highlighti...
